"Devolli" Albania
.The 2010 Albania Mining Master Plan reveals that Albanian deposits total about 311,000,000 tons of ore, containing nickel at an average grade of 1.01% Ni. Albania therefore contains about 3,140,000 tons of nickel in the ground. If this was all produced as LME #1 nickel it would be valued at US$20,900/ton today, so the total metal value would be US$65.5 billion (€68.7 billion). The same nickel made into nickel sulfate (22% nickel content) would amount to about 14,070,000 tons, and at today's SMM price of US$4312/t would be worth some US$60.7 billion. If made into MHP (37% nickel content) it would be 8,480,000 tons. Accounting for the higher nickel content/ton (37/22 , or 1.68) and applying the current 82.5% discount to SMM Ni sulfate, the price is $5983/t, and the total value as MHP is US$50.3 billion.
Nickel as Ni sulfate trades at a modest 8% discount to class 1 metal, and MHP at a further 17.5% discount to Ni sulfate. Converted to Ni hydroxide the same nickel would produce 4,960,000 tons, which at $18,000/ton would be worth US$89.3 billion, a 36% premium over class 1 metal and a 76% premium over MHP. The total resource of the target deposit under the current mining license is ~110 million tons of ore (including C2 grade resources), grading ~1% Ni. Of this, a 60MT resource at 0.8% cut-off lies within BGMs mining permit, containing $11.2 Billion in nickel value @ $16K/ton. The Cobalt grade is about 0.04%. The license area is approximately 77km2 and the elevation of the area ranges from 476m to 932m above sea level.

Nickel mountain Oregon USA
1. Ownership and History
The Nickel Mountain Mine near Riddle, Oregon, has been operated since 1992 by Glenbrook Nickel Co., also known as Hanna Mining Co. Nickel was first discovered in the 1860s, with more serious production starting in the 1950s through to the 1980s.
2. Geology and Mineral Content
The deposit is a lateritic nickel deposit formed by surface weathering of peridotite/serpentine rock. Nickel–magnesium silicates such as genthite and garnierite are the main ore types, with saprolite averaging around 1.5% Ni. High-grade boxwork pockets can reach up to 2.5% Ni. Magnesium is present in the silicates and notably in tailings at a 3:1 ratio relative to nickel.
3. Mining and Refining Methods
Historically, the site used open-pit bench mining with on-site smelting in electric arc furnaces to produce ferronickel or matte. Modern refining would likely continue using pyrometallurgical methods, although hydrometallurgical options like HPAL are used elsewhere for limonite ores.
4. Estimated Reserves
Estimated remaining ore includes 2,000,000 tons of saprolite and 280,000 tons of boxwork ore, yielding approximately 37,000 metric tons of contained nickel. Based on a 3:1 ratio in tailings, an estimated 111,000 metric tons of contained magnesium is also available.
5. U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Involvement
Nickel is classified as a strategic material by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). Through the Strategic & Critical Materials Board and Defense Production Act (DPA), the DoD funds domestic critical mineral projects and manages a national stockpile. Nickel Mountain could qualify for support under these initiatives.
6. Updated In-Ground Value Estimate
Nickel: 37,000 t × $17,000/t = $629 million
Magnesium: 111,000 t × $2,700/t = $299.7 million
Total In-Ground Metal Value: $928.7 million
7. Potential Refined Output
Nickel sulfate (NiSO₄·6H₂O): ~165,921 metric tons
Magnesium oxide (MgO): ~184,079 metric tons
8. Post-Feasibility Majority Stake Sale Estimate
Assuming a 70% risk discount to account for development costs, permitting, and construction, the adjusted project valuation is approximately $928.7M × 0.30 = $278.6 million.
An 80% majority stake based on this post-FS valuation would be worth: 0.80 × $278.6M = **$222.9 million**.
